Let us all pause for a minute and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas…..it is the day of our dear Saviors birth. That tiny baby was born in a lowly manger to die for all of us; that we might live and have eternal life. As the scripture says
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Too often we are so busy preparing for the big day that the true meaning of the season slips by us.
We are very thankful for the many blessings that we have been blessed with. For those of you that have lost a loved one this year and don’t feel like celebrating, reflect back on all the cherished memories you have of times spent together with your loved one and that should bring peace and comfort to your heavy heart. Knowing that your loved one is in a much better place should also be of great comfort to you.
I know many of you have faced trials or tribulations of sickness, terminal illnesses, loss of jobs, loss of homes, the list goes on and on.…… our hearts go out to you. It is extremely difficult to celebrate the season when you have a heavy heart and have asked so many times “Why?” Even though we can’t answer that being with those you love, whether it being family or friends, can bring peace and comfort to you and will lift your spirit.
Please don’t forget our military men and women that won’t be home to celebrate with their families this year. Say an extra prayer for each of them…we salute you and thank you for the service you provide for our freedom. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith and come back home safely!!! Also lift up those in the medial field and law enforcement that will be working to save lives and to keep us safe and out of harms way.
Since the DIV hunts began, we have met folks from all walks of life. We have formed lasting friendships and each of you has a special place in our hearts; you all have truly become a part of our ‘extended family’. If you’re ever in the area stop by and visit ….our door is always open.
Thank you to everyone that sent us Christmas cards or gifts. That was very thoughtful of you. All of you are close to us in our heart and in our thoughts and prayers.
In closing John and I would like to wish each of you and your families a very Merry Christmas……and please don’t ever forget ~
Jesus is the reason for the season!!!
