Need to sell a Minelab CTX 3030. This is my old machine and the guy that I sold it to doesn’t like it, so I told him I’d see what I could do to help him sell it. A new one is $1999 and he’s looking to get $1000 ($999 if you get it here on the DIV site). We can work out shipment/delivery details and all later on. Not sure if PMing is working or not, but if not, email me at dhardy@nc.rr.com. Thanks!
Rob – If you don’t yet have a battery, I’ll be happy to sell you mine. Since PMing doesn’t seem to be working here, you can text me at 919-451-7213.
Randy – We’ve been to two Antiques Road Shows and based on our experience, you should definitely be able to get an estimate on the Picasso. (Randy M, same for your Gutenberg Bible.) That said, they’ll do the Chattanooga show with a lottery for tickets. What we did for our lottery is to contact our friends and neighbors and use their email addresses to throw a name in that hat. Simply stated, the more entries you have working for you, the better your chances of getting a ticket. GL
Rose – Please put me down for 10 tickets. I’ll get the check in the mail today.
Thanks, Doug
Rose – Please put me down for a bag of those delicious chocolate chip cookies – wouldn’t be a proper DIV without ’em! Thanks!

Lloyd – Since no one’s chimed in, I thought I’d at least give you an answer to serve as a starting point. I’ve seen people use the Deus at DIV and actually find some things (I do not have first-hand experience), but you’d be at the same disadvantage as with any other VLF machine — you’ll lose pretty much all of your discrimination and a lot of depth. There’s a reason that people typically use PI machines. The woods are likely to be a little friendlier to a VLF machine than the open areas, but you’re still searching in highly mineralized soil and VLF machines have trouble with that. There are still some occasional close-to-the-surface finds that you might come across, but both Coles Hill and Beauregard have been heavily hunted, so you’re chasing a diminished “supply” of relics available to your machine.

Although Kent Rankin and I were hunting this field, we didn’t take the photo. The guy who did was in the next field over and was nice enough to send me a copy. (Sorry, but for the life of me, I can’t remember your name.)
Very impressed with the new site — both the design and functionality are great! John/Rose/Alex – thanks to you three for your hard work!
